We offer quality, tailored lessons for all ages, directed by qualified and highly experienced vocal/performance coach and professional entertainer, Katie Elle Jackson. After teaching in Sydney for over 10 years, Katie now brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to Adelaide. With an emphasis on developing healthy vocal production and an honest emotional connection, we can help you find your true voice!
Our Teaching Philosophy
KEJ teachers deliver a holistic approach to music coaching, with a focus on anatomy, musicality, storytelling and stagecraft. We regularly test a student’s knowledge so that they can take ownership of their instrument and creativity, making sure they understand exactly what they are doing so that they can continue to deliver engaging performances and a healthy vocal production. We absolutely love teaching and sharing the joy of music and performing!

Coaching: Katie Elle Jackson (nee Reeve) has been teaching music and performance for almost two decades throughout QLD, NSW and now SA, and has studied numerous methods of vocal and performance pedagogy. Katie spent six years teaching tertiary and high school students at the Australian Institute of Music, in individual and group voice and performance classes. Working as a freelance educator, Katie has taught for a number of well-known education providers across Australia including AIM, NIDA, Startime Studios, The Australian Institute of Performing Arts, Belles Voix, Buderim Youth Theatre and for numerous high school instrumental music programs. Katie currently teaches singing, drama, piano and choral groups in multiple schools across Adelaide and for the BMus at Tabor Institute of Music.
Katie is highly experienced as a private vocal, speech and drama, music theatre and piano teacher, as a performance coach and songwriting tutor, and specialises in artist development. Past students include The Voice, AGT, and X Factor Finalists, Internationally- successful Music Theatre & Cabaret Performers, Wedding Singers, Corporate Artists & Cruise Ship Entertainers, Television actors and multiple Singer-Songwriters and Recording Artists. Dozens of her students have successfully auditioned for tertiary music and theatre courses, gained agency representation, and countless work full time in the entertainment industry. Katie is regularly booked as a masterclass and workshop coordinator, as a vocal ensemble, glee-club and choir director, as a music theatre director and production vocal coach and as an events coordinator. n 2023. she was the vocal director for Pulteney Grammar School's critically acclaimed production of Jesus Christ Superstar, and is currently in pre-production as director of Tabor Institute of Music's production of We Will Rock You.
Katie has current DSCI and Catholic schools clearance, RAN, First Aid Certification and Anaphylaxis training, and is fully vacinated against Covid19.
As a performer, Katie has worked around the world as a corporate, club, wedding and session vocalist, as a cabaret and musical theatre performer and as a singer-songwriter and librettist. In 2013, Katie was featured on The Voice Australia as part of Ricky Martin's team, receiving praise for her powerful voice and charismatic stage presence. She recently headlined the 2018 New Years Eve celebrations in Dubai at Festival City Mall, in front of over 100,000 people. Katie has toured Australia with music theatre companies and festival cabaret productions, including Into the Woods, Midnight Sun, Violet, Hair, Little Egypt’s Speakeasy , The Vegetable Plot, Crisis! The Cabaret and Wanted and Wild. Other credits include performing as a guest entertainer for Royal Caribbean Cruises, singing for Woolworths’ Carols in the Domain, and regular performances at the some of the countries top venues and charity-events. She has entertained guests at countless wedding’s and corporate events with bands The Katie Elle Jackson Band, Soirée , Peppermint Jam, Boogie Fever, Sydney Jazz Collective, Duke, Valley Beat Music Co, Solar Music, Suit and Tie and Kitty and the Tom Cats. In 2020, she stared as The Bakers Wife in Elephant in the Room's/Adelaide Botanica Festival production of Into the Woods, receiving multiple rave-reviews. Other recent theatrical performances have included Cathy in The Last 5 Years (EiTR) and Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors (MCMT).
Katie is also a gifted script and songwriter, with a number of her theatrical and musical works performed by youth and community-theatre groups. Works include musicals Friends in the Fridge, The Fairytale and Sunshine Coast Theatre Festival winning plays, Lettuce Meat and Pompette. She premiered her new one woman show, Neighbourhood Watch, in 2017, featuring a score of original music from her EP Songs from Apartment 54, with a critically acclaimed return season in January 2018. Her original comedy show, Positive premiered at Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2020, and is with a return season in multiple fringe venues in 2022. Katie runs Manor Road Music with husband Chris, providing entertainment for Wedding's and Events. She is also studying to become a marriage celebrant.
